How to Prepare for Potentially Dangerous Home Situations
Written by admin, February 19th, 2012

I have been talking with lots of home owners recently about their home security. I am attempting to acquire some insight on the different ways our homes become at risk. One of the questions I asked everyone was if they had ever experienced any suspicious actions at their home. It could have been burglary, broken windows, a suspicious individual – anything really. I was surprised that almost every single person had at least one story. Most of the stories led them to get a home security system. I have learned that Dearborn Heights Security.com is one of the best options.

One man said that he was home for the afternoon one day, but left to go pick his little boy up from soccer practice. When they returned home approximately 10 minutes later, one of his windows was shattered and things were missing inside. He suspected that he was being watched, and the robber knew when he left. Another mother of three explained that she answered the door for someone who claimed to be a salesman. After he finished speaking, he asked if he could talk it over with her inside the house. She said no thank you, and he again replied by asking if he could at least come inside to use her phone. Considering this man was being persistent, she again declined and shut the door.

All of us have had encounters with suspicious people and situations. Some are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am digging for helps me figure out what drives people to get a alarm system. The second woman said she elected to get one the very next day.

I have heard many similar stories from other families. You never know what is going to happen on a certain day. I am confident that these two people did not wake up assuming something unusual would happen that day. It definitely highlights the value in being prepared.
